An innovation centre in the centre of Kraków

The Corporate Research Centre, based in Kraków, is a leading scientific body, developing state-of-the-art technologies for the ABB Group.

In 1996, the Management Board of the ABB Group decided to establish the ABB Research Centre in Poland, in January 1997. This was the first ABB unit of this kind in Central and Eastern Europe.
The centre became the youngest member of the ABB Research Organisation with centres located in Europe, North America and Asia. The city of Kraków, a historical place with a vast number of students, was chosen for the location of the centre.

The ABB Corporate Research Centre employs many experienced researchers, graduates of leading Polish and international universities and colleges, all of whom represent a high level of expertise. They appreciate the excellent conditions for professional growth and wide access to emerging technologies offered by our research centre. The international environment fosters knowledge and experience-sharing with colleagues from other centres worldwide.
