The Roll Track module of MPS Roll Handling is a tracking system that provides detailed statistical information such as:
- Paper consumption per production
- The rolls used per reelstand
- Web breaks per paper manufacturer
The rolls are tracked using barcodes or RFID tags. They are identified on delivery (and the data complemented with papiNet data, if available) and when they are mounted on the reelstand. Half-used rolls returned to storage are similarly identified.
The combination of the roll identification and the production data that is obtained from the press management system (normally MPS Production) enables Roll Track to compile the statistics.
