ABB at Singapore International Robo Expo 2016

ABB Robotics will be participating in the Singapore International Robo Expo 2016. Highlights at our booth includes the world’s first truly collaborative dual-arm industrial robot, YuMi, and ABB’s Selective Compliance Articulated Robot Arm (SCARA).

YuMi® – IRB 14000

YuMi is the world’s first truly collaborative dual-arm industrial robot designed to operate in very close collaboration with humans within a shared workspace. This is due to its inherently safe design which has garnered it the prestigious “Red Dot ‘best of the best’ design award. Equipped with flexible hands consisting of 14-axis, universal parts feeding system, camera-based part location, YuMi offers manufacturers a transformational new solution for the small parts assembly. Designed to be highly adaptive, Yumi works on standard household electrical power and weighs 38kg, making it an easy-to-implement automation solution for enterprises in Singapore. Its lead-through programming also allows the robot to be taught to complete tasks by simply moving its arms. This makes programming highly intuitive even for operators without special training or programming skills.

SCARA IRB 910SC

ABB’s SCARA family is designed for a variety of general-purpose applications such as tray kitting, component placement, machine loading/unloading and assembly. These applications require fast, repeatable and articulate point-to-point movements such as palletizing, depalletizing, machine loading/unloading and assembly.

ABB’s SCARA family is ideal for customers requiring rapid cycle times, high precision and high reliability for their Small Part Assembly applications and for laboratory automation and prescription drug dispensing.
