ABB Turbocharging at the 29th CIMAC Congress in Vancouver

The power to go further

Innovation. Lifecycle Management. Digital Insights.

From June 10-14, ABB Turbocharging joined the global leaders and influencers of the internal combustion engine industry at the 29th CIMAC World Congress, held at the Vancouver Convention Centre, Vancouver, Canada with the theme: ‘Meeting the Future of Combustion Engines’.

ABB Turbocharging continued its long-running role as a major sponsor of the congress and as an exhibitor. Three new turbocharging solutions were launched to congress attendees and the media: A255-L and A260-L compact turbochargers for small and medium bore two-stroke, low-pressure dual-fuel marine engines, the two-stage solution Power2 for high-speed rail, and A200-H, the industry’s new benchmark for highest power density. ABB Turbocharging also introduced ABB Ability Tekomar XPERT for fleet, a digital solution specially designed for engine performance optimization for use on a fleet-wide scale.

In addition, ABB Turbocharging representatives presented seven technical papers covering a variety of topics on marine, power and rail industries.

ABB Evening, a tradition of the CIMAC Congress took place on the evening of 11 June. Nearly 700 Congress attendees arrived by ferries to the north Vancouver shipyards and the Burrard Dry Dock Pier, where the event took place. Guests had the opportunity to enjoy artistic dance performance symbolizing digitalization, “dancing” tug boats and a magnificent skyline of the Vancouver City.
