TPS-D/E turbocharger

Simple, rugged and compact – the TPS-D/E combines low running costs with total reliability

ABB developed the TPS-D/E series of turbochargers to cater to modern high-speed diesel and gas engines and small medium-speed diesel and gas engines used in co-generation power plants, in marine engines, in generator sets, in locomotives and in heavy-duty mining vehicles.

The TPS design provides a robust and reliable platform for engine applications in the range of 500 kW to 3,000 kW per turbocharger. In addition to offering high efficiency and long times between overhauls, the TPS-D/E series comply with the most stringent environmental requirements. 

What’s more, a simple, modular design with very few parts makes the TPS-D/E easy to maintain and service, offering operators the added benefit of a low life-cycle costs.
