How we support students

University collaborations

ABB engages with students at leading US universities, including NC State University, Georgia Tech, Penn State University, and Virginia Tech in a variety of ways.  Through campus presentations, career fairs, sponsorship of clubs, equipment donations, and research partnerships, students learn about the field of engineering, ABB as a global company, and the work we do to change the world.  We strive to show students how ABB can help them have more than just a career - they can leave a legacy.

We also employ many students in internship roles at our facilities, and offer many opportunities for new graduates and those early in their careers as well.  Our Power and Automation Leaders rotational program and Global Trainee Program are just two of the avenues that fresh, energetic talent may follow into ABB.

Each year we hire approximately 60-80 interns into our organization. Our recruitment cycle is year round depending on the business need. However, the majority of the opportunities are summer/fall internships. Typically, the duration of an internship can range anywhere from 1 to 9 months.
