This longstanding initiative has impacted the lives of more than 1,300 students to date, demonstrating ABB's commitment to helping underprivileged children succeed academically.
The students, primarily from Sekolah Kebangsaan USJ 2, Sekolah Kebangsaan Seafield 3, and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan USJ 8, received brand-new uniforms, shoes, and school bags during a recent ceremony. The packs were presented to the schools' representatives by R Narayanan, Group Senior Vice President and Head of ABB Motion, Asia.
"Going back to school is a significant milestone for children. It's a time to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. Having a fresh, new uniform or school bag like everyone else can make all the difference in a child's confidence and academic performance," Ho Siew Kim, Country Holding Officer, ABB Malaysia Sdn Bhd explained.
"This annual contribution not only provides the necessities for children to kick-start the academic year but also creates wonderful memories and lasting impressions for them. It makes a difference in so many ways, empowering them to overcome their insecurities and to thrive academically."
ABB's dedication to the program underscores the company's commitment to two important pillars which are education and social wellbeing. By ensuring that these students have the resources they need to succeed, ABB is not only investing in their immediate future but also contributing to the long-term development of the community in which it operates.
