Digital technologies represented by the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data and mobile communication are heralding the Fourth Industrial Revolution, set to drive transformation across all sectors including the food and beverage industry. In light of these technological developments, ABB in Vietnam recently hosted its Food and Beverage Customer Day in Ho Chi Minh City, showcasing some of its latest technologies for this industry.
Themed "Digitalization-led Transformation in Food and Beverage", the half-day event included seminars, where hot topics such as challenges and solutions in energy, quality, safety and efficiency were discussed. A technology showcase area highlighted ABB's digital offerings, including performance management solutions for the asset-intensive food and beverage industry, process control systems, robotics systems for picking, packing and palletising solutions, measurement analytics and power systems.
