One of ABB's core social corporate responsibilities is working with community and providing support towards social development. In Vietnam, our first plan is to support the Peace Village at Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi.
Peace Village is a treatment consultation and rehabilitation center for dioxin-infected children and other disable children. Its goal is to help promote abilities for the children to fall in line with the community.
Established 20 years ago in 1991 and operating on a modest subsidiary that doesn't support the improvement of the village's under-standard infrastructure conditions, the village would need any kind of help that brings better environment to its inhabitants.
ABB participated in repairing the Peace Village's leaked roof and repainting the entire interior and exterior walls of the main building.
Closer to 50 ABB management and staff members have taken part in the project, devoting weekends to do various works from painting to cleaning the floor, doors and windows, from sweeping the whole village, collecting garbage to cleaning up the pool.
ABB thoughtful and heartfull support has finally changed the look of the village, bringing refreshed atmosphere and greatly improving living condition for all young dioxin-infected inhabitants at the village.
ABB well-done project has received great appreciation from all staff members as well as the village management alike.
