December 6th 2016, ABB hosted a ceremony to award the JDF scholarship to three students of the Electrical School, Hanoi University of Science and Technology. The awards were granted to Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan (from Thai Binh province), Pham Ngoc Cuong (from Hai Duong province), Nguyen Khac Nguyen (from Bac Ninh province) for being excelled in their academic performances despite family's financial difficulties. This is the second time ABB has extended its third award to a female student since the first time in 2014. Awardees will continue to receive financial support from ABB until the final term if their academic performance remains.
"It has been years since my mother has tried every day to pay living and educational expenses for my younger sister and me. I am very worried for her health recently. I am very happy and excited to receive ABB's scholarship. This scholarship will not only help me to continue my education but also encourage me to make more efforts to continue to pursuit the engineering career which I desire for." Said Pham Ngoc Cuong during the ceremony.
