ABB Motion Business in the UAE signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park ( SRTIP) recently . The MoU reflects ABB’s commitment towards digitalization and industry 4.0 initiatives. ABB will further support the UAE northern region based on extended collaboration with the American University of Sharjah by supporting their ambitious vision on developing R&D platform as well as taking on their social responsibility of enhancing industry relationships within the region. His Highness Sultan Bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah witnessed the signing ceremony.

ABB will install its Ability™ Digital Powertrain in the technology park which provides monitoring services and advanced analytics and maintenance planning to ensure the efficient operation of powertrain equipment, including drives, motors, bearings and pumps. Also ABB’s fully collaborative robot YuMi will be featured in the park.
