On June 22nd 2010, ABB in Vietnam signed an agreement with Sunhouse company to be ABB’s Channel Partner for High voltage products in the Northern region. Accordingly, Sunhouse is appointed to cover whole sales, retail sales as well as direct bids.

Riding on the success of recent high profile transformer deliveries out of ABB in Vietnam into the rich oil/gas minerals market of Western Australia, VNABB has today been awarded a 9MUSD Transformer order which is one of the largest ever single order wins in its business

In April, Logistics entered into an agreement with TNT (Vietnam Express company) where TNT shall provide services of door to door goods shipments covering all means like air, road transport, sea shipping or combined means.

On March 11, ABB inaugurated a green field manufacturing facility in Vietnam, located on the outskirts of Hanoi. The new unit is built on 87,000 square meters of land in the Tien Son Industrial Zone in Bac Ninh Province and will employ about 100 people. Construction of this complex was completed in around 15 months, with close collaboration and know-how from the lead global technology centers.

On 6th Jan 2010, ABB in Vietnam and Hanoi University of Technology (HUT) cooperated to organize the hand-over ceremony of ABB industrial automation training center.

ABB, the leading power and automation technology group, has won an order worth $15 million from Lilama Corporation for an outdoor substation and transformers as an integral part of an electrical balance of plant (EBoP) solution for the Vung Ang 1 power plant in Vietnam.

The Golden Dragon Awards are co-organised annually by Vietnam Economic Times and the Foreign Investment Department under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, to recognise and honour the success of foreign invested enterprises in Vietnam and their contribution to the economy.
