Present at the ceremony were Gary Marler, ABB Country Manager, James Mullen - PA Manager together with some managers and sales representatives in Viet Nam. On HUT side, Mr. Ha Duyen Tu - Vice Director, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Xuan Viet -Head of Electrical Engineering faculty and other teachers, lecturers from the faculty.


Mr. Duyen Tu conveyed special thanks to ABB for its meaningful present in the occasion of the New Year, which triggers a year prosperous for many valued activities. HUT and ABB have been in cooperation since 1990 and the university always highly appreciates the mutual achievements. The University hopes to receive professional experts from ABB to come and deliver lectures to its teachers and students in the coming time.
To affirm ABB's interest in building long term relationship with HUT, Gary Marler said that ABB has strong portfolio for the industry, which is the foundation for cooperation expansion in Vietnam, including those with HUT. "We have just put into operation a new power equipment factory in Bac Ninh province, and we kept investing in the area of human resource and trainings in Vietnam as these could be the potential sources for your recruitment in the future".

According to the agreement, ABB provides HUT with equipments, software, accessories, and training programs to enhance the training capability in Industrial IT - Distributed Control System (DCS). The total provision is over 100.000 EUR. And HUT also furnishes the training room with other facilities and computers to facilitate the training and studying of students and lectures/teachers here.
The training center is assigned directly to the Department of Industrial Informatics and Instrument which will be responsible for organizing the trainings not only for HUT students but also for other organizations if required.
