March 1st, 2017 - On the occasion of the ISE Show, ABB extended an invitation to Amsterdam - trade show visit, press conference and spectacular stage show
In parallel to the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) Trade Show in Amsterdam and on the occasion of the official market launch of the innovative ABB-free@home® wireless home automation system, ABB extended an invitation to an international press event at the “Okura” Hotel’s Conference and Event Center. During a press conference, Mike Mustapha, Managing Director ABB Building Products, and Adalbert Neumann, Head of Marketing and Sales of the ABB Building Products Business Unit, reported on the stunning success of ABB-free@home®. The millionth product of this intuitive smart home system has just been produced, which with the added wireless components has become even more attractive, especially for modernization projects.
All this was reason enough to celebrate this success in domestic and foreign markets. By pressing a buzzer together, Mike Mustapha, along with Eric Karsemakers, General Manager Building and Industry at Busch-Jaeger in the Netherlands and two randomly selected guests, started the stage show in the Grand Ballroom of the “Okura” Hotel. The guests, which included international media and clients, were presented with a fast-paced multimedia stage show, including the Cologne-based “Fantastic 5” Group who performed their perfectly choreographed dance routine in time to the changing interactive visuals projected on a giant screen.
ABB represented products in Hall 9 for the first time ever. The trade show is an exposition focusing on professional AV system integration and electronic integration in commercial and residential buildings. More than 1,000 exhibitors presented their latest products there this year from February 7 to 10. These ranged from large-format super displays or high-performance professional presentation technology to networking products for the Smart Home and Smart Building sectors. An extensive supporting program with lectures relating to intelligent building technology, commercial solutions and unified communications, as well as courses and training rounded off the offer of the trade show, which is enjoying increased popularity not only with international professional visitors, but also with end-consumer spectators.
