It is a pleasure for me to invite you to ABB Automation & Power World 2016, which will be held in Mexico City, June 22-23, at Expo Bancomer, Santa Fe.
ABB Automation & Power World (APW) is a unique global platform, held throughout the year in countries like USA, China, Brazil, India and Mexico. Enjoying great success since its first event in 2014, APW Mexico this year will connect energy and industry leaders with smart solutions for sustainable growth, with particular attention to the energy transition and productivity that leverage the Internet of Things and Industry 4.0 technology.
The conference includes an ambitious program of workshops, hands-on training sessions, forums and mega sessions by ABB experts from 16 countries. We will also be joined by CEOs, academia and government presenters, as well as our media partners Expansion, Petroleo & Energia and Global Energy/Industries.
This year we also have the honor of hosting our CEO, Dr. Ulrich Spiesshofer, to lead this second edition in Mexico.
The Technology Solutions Center features 5,400 square meters of exhibits demonstrating smart solutions that improve productivity, efficiency and sustainability. The products, systems and solutions on display focus on the business priorities of the Mexican market in key sectors like utilities, industry (process and manufacture), automotive, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals and infrastructure (e.g., ports, data centers, rail).
A special pavilion for renewables and e-mobility showcases state-of-the art ABB applications in fast and ultrafast charging for electric vehicles and urban sustainable transportation (e-buses). Here you can also learn about Solar Impulse, a pioneering attempt to circumnavigate the globe by solar-powered aircraft. I also encourage you to visit our interactive robotics zone and see our most advanced robot.
In keeping with spirit of social responsibility, APW will be making a substantial donation to benefit childhood cancer treatment in Mexico.
With an expected audience of more than 3,000 visitors, APW 2016 will be an excellent opportunity to demonstrate our commitment with Mexico, and for you to connect and share ideas with your industry peers.
