Indoor supporting current transformer TPU

Medium voltage indoor current transformers support (post) type TPU are cast in epoxy resin and are designed for insulation voltages up to 36 kV (40.5 kV).

The indoor dry type transformers are arranged to act as a support for the conductor in the primary circuit. For certain types of panels there is a need for extra long creepage distance on the transformers. For this purpose you can order current transformers with „ribs on the top”.
The transformers are designed and can be manufactured in conformity with the following standards and recommendations: IEC, VDE, ANSI, BS, GOST and CSN, others on request.

Product scope

  • TPU 4x.xx are designed for insulation voltages from 3.6 kV to 12 kV.
  • TPU 5x.xx are designed for insulation voltages from 13.8 kV to 17,5 kV.
  • TPU 6x.xx are designed for insulation voltages up to 24 (25) kV.
  • TPU 7x.xx are designed for insulation voltages up to 36 (40.5) kV.

The transformers are designed as single-or-multiple turn transformers, with one transformer ratio, or with the possibility to be switched over on the secondary or primary side.

Key benefits

  • Ready for tariff metering
  • Possibility of ribs on the top of the transformer for longer creepage distance and increasing a performance
  • Silver coated primary terminals help set higher range for temperature rise tests
  • The wide range of supported standards, including IEC 61869, allows a big number of modifications on the individual request of each customer
  • Can be mounted in any position

Key features

  • For rated primary currents of up to 3200 A
  • For measuring and protection with up to 6 secondary windings
  • Secondary or primary reconnectable versions
  • Most electrical standards available
  • Capacitive voltage divider for voltage indication
  • DIN dimensions available
