NRCan Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Government Incentives


Learn how you can deploy your EV charging infrastructure projects with NRCan's government incentives and funding programs, such as ZEVIP and EVAFIDI, and ABB's EV charging solutions.

 

 

What are NRCan's funding programs?

NRCan (Natural Resources Canada) is now open to receive financial applications for potential eligible projects under their government incentives/rebate programs, such as the Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (also known as ZEVIP) and the Electric Vehicle and Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Deployment Initiative (also known as EVAFIDI).

The initiatives were established to support the development and fund zero-emission projects in Canada related to electric vehicle charging infrastructures through the adoption of cost-sharing contribution agreements. NRCan's ZEVIP incentive will cover up to 50% of the total project costs with a limit of up to $5,000,000 per project and the EVAFIDI incentive repays up to $5,000,000 per project.

  • Heavy Vehicle Charging Solutions

    ABB offers a complete portfolio for charging electric heavy vehicles such as buses and trucks. Charging can be done via plug-in style or opportunity charge. For plug-in style chargers, the powers start at 100 kW and can be extended up to 150 kW in addition to connecting up to three vehicles at one time with our sequential charging feature. For opportunity charging, power starts at 150 kW and can extend up to 600 kW.
