ABB-free@home best technical solution in Spain Architecture & Construction 2016 awards

ABB’s home automation system free@home received this prize on November 3rd at the 10th edition of the NAN Architecture & Construction awards held in Madrid

Oiartzun, 8 November 2016. The home automation system free@home has won the award for best technical solution in the architecture & construction sector at the 2016 NAN Awards.

This award ceremony, one of the main events each year in the architecture sector, was held last week for the tenth year and was attended by more than 200 guests.

During the ceremony, the Materials Awards were presented to recognise the suppliers of materials and multiple innovative, effective and more environmentally-friendly solutions. This was followed by the presentation of the Awards for Best Project.

Idoia Matas, Head of Marketing Communication at ABB Electrification Products Division in Spain, collected the award for best technical construction solution 2016 from Alvaro Escribano, Director of Marketing at BigMat Promoespaña, one of the companies sponsoring the awards.

In total, 18 statuettes were presented for the best projects and solutions in the world of architecture and construction.

free@home lets you control your entire home in a conventional manner with either wall switches or a monitor; from your smartphone, tablet or computer via wireless LAN; or with your voice.

This system offers endless possibilities for creative design, resulting in a smart home where you can control the blinds, lighting, heating, air conditioning or welcome intercom system.

The aim is to offer the user comfort, safety and efficiency, all in a very simple way. From any device, at just the touch of a button and using a simple application, you can use the new voice activation feature which uses voice commands to allow users to control more than 60 home automation functions.
