ABB Smart EMS app Home screen:
All you need in one place

The Home Screen of the ABB Smart EMS app offers five key areas.

The power flow widget offers access to the main areas, allowing you to manage your energy solutions: Grid, Solar, Battery, EV Charger, and Other Consumers.

Below the power flow, you’ll see a chart showing your solar production, direct consumption, and grid usage. You can view data for today or the past 7 days, and tap the link to open the dashboard for more details.

At the bottom, users can easily adjust connected devices like EV charges, smart plugs, switches, hot water, and heat pumps.

The solar power forecast is also accessible, and users can customize the widget order in the last two sections.

Tapping the Solar Panel icon in the upper-right corner enters configuration mode. All widgets can be shifted to your preference.

Choose the Settings and let ABB Smart EMS do the work

Clicking the solar panel icon opens the ABB Smart EMS settings, where users can check system status, configure the regulation offset, enable load management, define tariffs, and manage notification preferences. The personalization section allows you to configure which charging mode you want to see on the starting page. Here, you can add all types of devices compatible with ABB Smart EMS. Connected devices, inverters, and smart meters are listed, with priority determined by adjusting their order to manage device preferences when solar energy exceeds demand.

See your Energy flow in real-time

Clicking the energy flow diagram opens a detailed view of the current electricity flow. The display shows the solar installation, external power grid, battery with charge status, and household consumption. Animated arrows indicate power direction and flow speed, with faster arrows showing higher power transfer. Household consumption displays the current usage and which devices are drawing power, represented as percentages in a ring around the house icon. Only devices monitored by the ABB Smart EMS are shown, with all others grouped under "Others."

Make smarter energy choices with Dashboard

With new battery integration, the ABB Smart EMS now offers even more transparent energy monitoring. The updated visualization shows household consumption in varying shades of blue, making it easy to see whether your energy comes from solar, battery, or the grid. A yellow curve overlays the graph to represent solar production: light yellow shows what’s stored in the battery, while dark yellow indicates energy fed back to the grid. This intuitive display provides a clear, real-time view of how energy is produced, stored, and utilized throughout the day.

Manage your Connected devices effortlessly

Even after ABB Smart EMS is fully set up, you can easily add new devices and manage them through the ABB Smart EMS app. Available for iOS and Android, the app complements the web interface and gives you quick access to your system data and settings on the go.
