3 Monkeys Brew Pub is a part of the most popular night-life outing places in the city. Situated in Old Madras Road, the pub took almost a year to be constructed. As soon as you enter, the ambiance prevails in catching attention. There are separated areas where buffet is served and where people can have drinks and food. There is also a dance floor with a special place for DJ. The surprise is that there is a small stage with scenic lighting. The building uses ABB i-bus KNX as a state-of-the-art lighting control system, which makes the pub a favorable place to visit.
The procurement of appropriate RGB dimmable lighting drivers was a problem due to costs and importing issues. For this reason DMX was used as an interface to create a perfect mix of colours for the ambience.
The decision for KNX was made because of the advanced lighting control possibilities. Furthermore the easy field level installation, diagnostics and programming in combination with the future proof extendibility were decision factors.
