The Mittersill secondary modern school is one of the most important in Austria. At present, 472 pupils attend classes, under the authority of 54 teachers. This is a unique school project in the eyes of the country, in that not only is it a national school but also a federal one. The school also incorporates a large Sports hall, used for extracurricular activities aswell.
The client requested a central control through the school´s network, also allowing access to different user groups. For example, it had to be possible for the teachers to access the KNX- functions in order to use them in the classroom.
The KNX solution has proved to be very reliable during use and has very low maintenance rates. Thanks to that, further savings can be made in addition to reducing energy consumption.
