Top of City

The Top of City complex consists of approx. 111 luxury apartments, sited at a premium location in China's most dynamic city Shanghai. The average floor space of the apartments is 250-350 m². The lighting control, shutter control and HVAC control, including fan coil units and under floor heating, are implemented by using ABB i-bus^® KNX.

What were the challenges in fulfilling the wishes of the customer?

The integration of video security functions into the ABB i-bus^® system was the challenge of this project.

Why was the decision for a KNX solution made?

The flexible functionality of ABB i-bus^® KNX including lighting control / shutter control / heating / fan coil unit/ audio / video in one system, the complete range and functionality of the ABB modular DIN rail system as well as the open protocol of KNX allowing easy system integration with other 3rd party products and systems fulfilled the customer's wishes.
