New generation with ArcWatch* technology
With its exceptional contact design, the HPC switch has proven superior to bolted pressure switches. The new generation HPC switch is based on the Power Break* II circuit breaker platform and is ArcWatch-enabled to provide better arc flash hazard mitigation. Its EntelliGuard* control unit offers many benefits of the EntelliGuard trip unit for circuit breakers.
- Application versatility
Available in frame ratings from 800 to 4000 A, 600 V AC max., top or bottom feed, to 200 kA IC with appropriate UL Class L fuses. Fuse-mounting bolts with captive washers standard.
- Operational safety
Interphase partition mesh with high-dielectric-strength and glass-reinforced insulating case to isolate each pole for high transient voltage withstand. Arc chute suppresses arcs and cools gases rapidly for quick arc interruption. Positive ON (red)/OFF (green) position indication. Quick-break finger-tip OFF button instantly opens switch contacts. Padlocking provision standard.

Preloaded constant pressure pivot eliminates braid whip and fraying on high short circuit currents and repeated operations.
- Retrofittable
By replacing the older GE HPC switch, you can add remote operation through motor operators, shunt trips with lockouts, RELT and adjustable IOC for continuous reduced incident energy in the same footprint.
