For residential and light commercial applications
Type TG general-duty switches are available in 30 to 600 A, 240 V AC, 250 V DC maximum in NEMA Type 1 indoor and Type 3R outdoor enclosures. The UL listed short-circuit current rating is 10,000 rms symmetrical amps when protected with fuses or over-current devices, which increases to 100,000 rms symmetrical amps when Class R fuses and kits are installed in 30 to 200 A switches. All are UL and cUL certified, (UL 98 and CSA C22.2 No. 4-04), NEMA KS1 compliant, and UL listed as service entrance equipment when installed as per NEC guidelines.
- Take the guesswork out of safety
Highly visible ON/OFF label and easy-grip red handle reduce potential for error. 30 to 200 A models feature non-defeatable integral cover lock that prevents you from opening the door when the switch is on. The handle can be locked in off position and enclosure has a lockable cover catch.
- Long, reliable service life
Quick-make-and-break mechanism and plated contacts deliver reliability and durability. Powder-coat finish and galvanized steel for outdoor enclosures resist corrosion.
- Save installation time
Wide, unobstructed gutter ease wire pulling and connection. Three-point self-leveling mounting speeds installation.
- Red 30 to 60 A, 240 V AC indoor switches
Red switches with optional factory-installed neutral available to meet local codes requiring a red disconnect with fire safety systems and first responder identification.
