PDCOM is a solution, able to monitor the partial discharge trend in a switchgear and provide specific PD related health index and KPIs.
The product can detect various types of partial discharges and can be used in
both old and new switchgear.
The working principle is based-on capacitance variation detected by coupler capacitors or capacitive sockets typically already present inside the switchgear. The system architecture is simple and scalable, with one PDCOM able to monitor up to 10 panels inside the switchgear.
PDCOM can operate both on-premises, as well as cloud-connected to ABB Ability Asset and Energy Manager solutions.
