ABB launches intervarsity innovation challenge in Malaysia  

 

Held for a second consecutive year, the preeminent competition seeks to inspire the country’s best and brightest academic talent to deliver digital innovation and smart technologies.

Supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, the competition is open to all full-time students of public universities nationwide as well as private institutions of higher learning in Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan.

Themed ‘Writing the Future of Digitalization and Smart Technologies’, the competition centers on three key topics which are having the biggest impact on how we think, work and live today and into the future:

I. Smart Grid and City
II. Smart Industry and Production
III. Smart Home and Building

Participation is open to both individual entries as well as teams of not more than three members.  All entries must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Friday, November 17, 2017, to Ling Seng Wee (seng-wee.ling@my.abb.com) or Wong Wei Hwee (wei-hwee.wong@my.abb.com).

The final competition round will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, with five short-listed entries presented to leading industry experts. The winning team will receive a cash prize of RM10,000 with the runner-up receiving RM5,000.
