Progams to support sustainability

One breakout session looked in more detail at ABB’s sustainability targets and related product development covering its commitment to a low carbon society, to preserving resources and promoting social progress. On energy management and decarbonization, existing ABB programs such as the Energy Efficiency Movement and Mission to Zero™ were presented to interested customers as clear examples of ABB's journey towards carbon neutrality, with the goal to generate clean energy on site to power operations with zero emissions. On resource preservation, ABB company-wide approach to circularity was introduced, aiworking closely with customers and suppliers to embed circularity across the value chain. Whilst on social progress and sustainability, ABB’s support to the humanitarian relief in Turkey and Syria was highlighted.

Digitalizing industries

The second breakout session looked at the opportunities for industries in digitalization, with food and beverage (F&B) used as an example. It provided the customer audience with insights into the benefits of intelligent distribution in F&B which offers the potential to maximize energy efficiency by up to 30 percent, provide multi-site analysis and improve reliability. A smart farm in Saudi Arabia using ABB AbilityTM Energy Manager to optimize an IoT-enabled climate and ensure the greenhouses operate continuously and cost-efficiently was shown as a cutting-edge example of intelligent distribution in action.

Data centers

The third breakout session explored through open dialogue and discussion new developments in data centers, including new innovations to enhance both operability and energy efficiency.

Celebrating partnership and networking to new opportunities

The day ended with the opportunity for all partners to socialize and network with a range of entertainment on offer, concluding a very successful Channel Partner event that served to reinforce the potential for growth through collaboration in this dynamic and changing region.
