- ABB held its biggest channel partner conference of the year between 25th and 27th September in Spain
- The global event brought together around 200 channel partners from Process and Energy Industries in 34 countries
- A number of awards were handed to channel partners that stood out in areas such as commitment, resillience, disruption and top performance management
ABB announced the launch of its ‘Value Provider Program’ at ABB Process Automation’s biggest global channel partner conference of the year. This is a significant upgrade to its existing program and was unveiled to an audience of around 200 channel partners from across 34 countries worldwide at the Partner Conference which took place between 25th and 27th September.
Beyond serving the market directly, ABB continuously develops a network of value adding channel partners that enhance ABB’s market reach and proximity. At the same time, it enables each customer to select the most suitable path to access ABB’s offering.

ABB Process Automation announced its channel partner champions from around the globe, during the conference. The categories ‘Commitment Star’ for partners who have been highly committed to ABB, ‘Pinnacle Performer’ for delivering high order volumes, ‘Resilient Champion’ for showing resilience during uncertain situations. The ‘Serial Prowess’ award for mastering the use of standardized configurations to bring repetitive business, ‘Rocket Surge’ to recognize partners heavily invests in the ABB partnership. The ‘Service Pioneer’ for completing certification and onboarding of ABB’s Service Program and ‘Upgrade Ace’ who have invested to win a difficult upgrade.
New award categories were introduced this year. They included ‘Leap Forward’ for partners with an accelerated increase in order values, ‘Disrupted Force’ to recognize partners who broke into new industries and ‘Challenger Superstar’ for partners breaking into new accounts, overcoming competitors who have had a stronghold.
The winning partners announced on the evening of 26th September comprised of; AFRY and Pronecta from Sweden won ‘Commitment Star’ and ‘Rocket Surge’ awards respectively. Gross Automation from United States won ‘Pinnacle Performer’ and INTECH Process Automation from United Arab Emirates won ‘Resilient Champion’.
Byworth Boilers from United Kingdom were presented with the ‘Serial Prowess’ title. Subtleweigh Electric and Sigma Automation & Instruments from India were presented with the ‘Leap Forward’ and ‘Challenger Superstar’ awards respectively.
Additionally, Reg-Pro Energy in Senegal was presented with the ‘Disruptive Force’ award, FSM from Chile won ‘Service Pioneer’ award and NJCSI based out of South Africa was given the ‘Upgrade Ace’ award.
The theme of ABB’s channel partner conference ‘Unleashing the power of partnerships’ was covered during panel discussions, workshops, portfolio updates, breakout sessions and product demonstrations at the conference. Channel partners were engaged with discussions surrounding growth opportunities, digital solutions and lifecycle service opportunities which gave them greater insight into opportunities to collaborate with ABB and customers. In addition to this, focused sessions on specific industries and solutions provided channel partners with in-depth understanding on ABB solutions.
