Most of the vineyards in Styria – one of Austria's oldest winemaking regions – are small, family-run affairs. But local ABB engineers realised that some of the measurement and analytic principles from other industries could be used to improve their ways of working. And so, one family of winemakers installed an award-winning RVG200 data recorder and Coriolis flow meter – ABB technology better known from the oil and gas or chemical industries – and completely transformed the way they understand their harvest.
