- Upgrading the ABB-Welcome door entry system with enhanced integration and operation at Light + Building 2024
- New Matter-ready OneTouch panel with integrated smart home hub, seamlessly merging ABB-Welcome and ABB-free@home®
- Refreshed simplified commissioning, additional APIs, and modern User Interface (UI) for new and existing Indoor IP touch panels in commercial and residential buildings
ABB is unveiling upgrades to its portfolio of ABB-Welcome door entry systems at this year’s Light + Building trade fair in Frankfurt from March 3 to 8. The next-generation versions of ABB-Welcome and ABB-Welcome IP are now launched with an evolved design, simplified system architecture, and enhanced connectivity.
ABB-Welcome offers a versatile 2-wire solution for door communication with a wide range of modular designs. It comprises a full range of outdoor and indoor stations. Home entrance areas including gates and front or entrance doors can be conveniently connected to mobile phones so that calls at the door can be responded to, and access can be granted remotely via an app.
Introducing two significant additions to the portfolio: a new modernized 4.3” indoor station design and the new OneTouch smart panel, the first ABB-Welcome touch panel to have an integrated ABB-free@home® system access point and 5Ghz Wi-Fi support is now available. With these new features, ABB-Welcome is easier to commission and can now become the centralized hub for your smart home.
The ABB-Welcome IP system offers HD video communication capabilities, catering to external, internal, and remote monitoring needs for residential and commercial buildings. This intuitive solution allows for seamless control of every entrance, whether it is a single house, multi-apartment, or commercial building, all managed remotely via a single app.
Streamlined for simplified set-up and commissioning, this latest version of ABB’s state-of-the-art door entry system eliminates the need for a system access point in single-family applications. Additional partner devices can now be integrated into the system via APIs. Other new benefits include the introduction of a new IP Touch Lite panel with HD video quality and integrated mobile app support. For ABB Welcome-IP, remote maintenance is available via a ProService portal.
Marco Simonella, Global Product Line Manager at ABB Electrification Smart Buildings commented, “ABB-Welcome represents the future of secure and convenient entry experiences, providing a warm welcome to your smart home. Our door entry and communications systems are designed to be easy to install, configure and commission. They can meet every intercom requirement from the simplest to the most demanding setups, whether for single homes or larger buildings, significantly simplifying life for both installers and customers.”
