- Flexible for diverse architectures: functions as 1 to 4-fold touch sensor, ideal for extensions in existing buildings
- New capacitive surface design: intuitive smartphone-like functionality for seamless room control
- Cutting-edge display technology: ABB Trevion® 4" display offers haptic feedback, setting a new standard for smart home solutions
ABB unveils its latest breakthrough in room control technology with the introduction of the ABB Trevion® touch sensor, designed to redefine the way users interact with their living spaces. ABB Trevion® sets a new standard in modern operating concepts with its innovative capacitive surface, promising an unparalleled user experience.
Debuting at the Light and Build trade fair in Frankfurt from March 3-8, 2024, ABB Trevion® showcases its compatibility with ABB i-bus® KNX and ABB-free@home® smart automation systems, as well as the ABB-free@home® flex modular electronics system. This cutting-edge sensor combines functionality with flexibility, offering a sleek and minimalist design reminiscent of contemporary smartphone interfaces.
The ABB Trevion® keypad stands out for its flexibility, functioning as a 1 to 4-fold touch sensor. This adaptability allows for seamless integration into existing buildings and is ideal for extensions, providing users with the ability to expand or customize control points according to their specific needs.
Equipped with an internal temperature sensor and featuring acoustic feedback upon activation, ABB Trevion® ensures a user-friendly experience. Visual cues provided by light guides and LED indicators further enhance usability, with different colors corresponding to various functions for easy identification. Additionally, an optional theft/removal protection feature offers added security, particularly in public areas.
To complement the capacitive sensor technology the slim ABB Trevion® display 2.4” offers a wide range of functions. With options for both white and black glass surfaces, the higher contrast display ensures optimal visibility from any angle. Integrated features such as haptic feedback and a brightness sensor enhance usability, while a built-in room temperature controller provides efficient heating control.
Olaf Quittmann, Global Product Manager at ABB Electrification Smart Buildings said, “ABB Trevion® combines intuitive operation with innovative technology. With the new and modern operating concept based on capacitive surfaces in combination with LED light guides, we have created a contemporary operating experience for the smarter home.”
Both ABB Trevion® keypad and 2.4” displays can be seamlessly integrated into various switch series, including popular ranges such as Busch-art linear® Busch-balance® SI, solo®, and Busch-axcent®. This compatibility ensures a cohesive aesthetic across diverse architectural styles, from traditional to contemporary.
