- The new edition of the Sustainable Talent Program resumed on September 23, at ABB’s head office in Sesto San Giovanni for twenty-five recent STEM graduates
- The program, offering a considerable number of training and mentoring opportunities, aims to inspire young female university students to embark on a career in the technological field
Last September 23, at ABB’s head office in Sesto San Giovanni, the new edition of the ABB Sustainable Talent Program officially began, an initiative that aims to guide and support recent female STEM graduates on a mentoring journey.
Promoted by ABB Italia, the program’s objective is to inspire young women to pursue a career in the technology sector, establishing meaningful connections between these young talents and established professionals both within and outside the company.
During the kick-off event, the twenty-five selected participants were able to share their experience and listen to ABB professionals, who explained to them what they can expect from this experience and from the company in personal and professional terms.
The heart of the Sustainable Talent Program is the mentoring relationship, designed to help young people find their way forward in their professional future and better understand the dynamics of a company like ABB. Each student will have the opportunity to organize meetings with their mentor, with whom they can share hopes, ideas, goals and concerns.
As a concluding moment, the participants took part in the interactive game "Climate Fresk", focused on sustainability, which allowed them to explore the issues related to today's climate challenges and discuss the contribution that a technology multinational such as ABB can make to change. This collective activity subsequently allowed for a broader reflection on the Group's 2030 Sustainability Agenda, which was discussed in depth.
In the coming months, the students will have the opportunity to participate in meetings with industry professionals and workshops focused on female leadership and personal branding. This will be a valuable opportunity to expand their soft skills and expertise, as well as enhance their personal ownership.
