The prestigious award recognizes ABB Oy for its significant contributions to Finnish industry through long-term investments. ABB Finland country managing director, Pekka Tiitinen, accepted the honor from President Stubb at the Presidential Palace on November 22, 2024.

ABB Oy is part of the global ABB Group, a leader in electrification and automation technology. The Finnish company currently employs approximately 5,500 people and operates in around 20 locations across the country, including major production centers in Helsinki, Vaasa, Porvoo, and Hamina. This makes ABB one of Finland’s largest industrial employers. Over the past decade, ABB has invested more than €55 million annually in production capacity and a total of over €1 billion in research and development within Finland. The President of Finland’s annual Internationalization Award is presented in four categories to outstanding Finnish companies. Alongside ABB Oy, which received the Long-term Investor Award, Unikie Oy was named the 2024 Newcomer Company for its innovative production solutions, while Konecranes Oyj received the Growth Company Award for its material handling solutions. The Community Award went to Forest Joensuu, a leading forestry cluster.
