ABB Malaysia has once again reaffirmed its commitment to education and community development through its long-running back-to-school initiative. This year, the program provided essential school supplies to 90 underprivileged students from Sekolah Kebangsaan USJ 2, Sekolah Kebangsaan Seafield 3, and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan USJ 8.
The students received a full set of brand-new school uniforms, shoes, and bags — basic yet critical items that many low-income families struggle with during each academic year. The packs were presented to the school representatives by R. Narayanan, Group Senior Vice President and Head of ABB Motion, Asia.
Since its inception, this meaningful initiative has reached nearly 1,400 students, underlining ABB’s dedication to nurturing young minds and empowering future generations.
“Every child deserves the chance to start the school year with confidence and dignity. By supporting back-to-school contributions, we’re not just giving supplies — we’re giving hope, opportunity, and a reminder that dreams matter,” said Ho Siew Kim, Country Holding Officer, ABB Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
“This annual tradition empowers deserving children to thrive academically while helping them build confidence and character to become valued members of their communities. Together, we’re shaping a future where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired.”
This initiative underscores ABB’s broader mission to advance two core pillars: education and social wellbeing. By equipping students with the tools they need to succeed, ABB is not only investing in their academic progress but also contributing to the long-term resilience and development of the communities it serves.
