  • ABB’s iconic continuous emissions monitoring system ACF5000 as well as UviTec, the optical water analyzers for critical measurement in real time, are also on display
  • A market leader in gas and water analysis, ABB delivers high-performance solutions that support industries in meeting increasingly strict environmental regulations

ABB, a global leader in electrification and automation, will showcase its innovative emissions monitoring systems as well as solutions for the age of smart water at ENVEX 2025, Korea’s premier environmental industry exhibition, from June 11-13.

With over 140 years of experience, ABB helps companies working in industries such as oil & gas, chemicals, water & wastewater and metals to achieve their zero-emissions and efficiency goals. At ENVEX, ABB will show solutions designed to enhance performance and sustainability in demanding applications. Visitors can learn more about ABB technologies by visiting the ABB stand in Hall A, COEX.

“As industries worldwide and in Korea are working on increasing their operational efficiencies and reducing emissions, ENVEX provides a timely and strategic venue for ABB to demonstrate its leadership in innovative technologies, particularly in the fields of gas analysis and smart water management,” said Jacques Mulbert, President, ABB Measurement & Analytics. “We are proud to support Korea’s K-Green New Deal and Carbon Neutral Strategy, both of which highlight the increasing importance of sustainable and intelligent industrial solutions.”

“ENVEX is a valuable venue for ABB Korea to engage directly with customers and partners seeking future-ready solutions to address Korea’s environmental challenges,” said In-Seong Baik, Local Division Manager, ABB Measurement & Analytics. “As a global leader in gas analyzer and smart water technologies, we are proud to showcase our innovations and collaborations, such as the laser-based MobileGuard™ system demonstrated on a Volvo EV. The collaboration reflects our shared vision with Volvo Car of a more sustainable and resource-efficient future in which our proven technologies enable cleaner, safer, and more efficient operations.”

MobileGuard™ detects and measures gas leaks from oil and gas infrastructure with sensitivity over 1,000 times higher than conventional technologies. In addition, it is 10 times faster than traditional equipment in detecting single parts per billion (ppb) of methane and ethane.

MobileGuard™ is designed to operate autonomously or in combination with the drone-based HoverGuard™, which detects and quantifies methane leaks in hard-to-reach assets and landfills, and the portable MicroGuard™, which is used for conducting surveys on foot.

ABB will highlight several further technologies addressing critical environmental monitoring needs:

  • ACF5000 gas analyzer: A benchmark in continuous emissions monitoring (CEMS), the ACF5000 uses laser spectroscopy to simultaneously measure up to 15 gas components at exceptionally low concentrations. Designed for use in chemical plants, waste incinerators, and cement kilns, the system adapts easily - through software upgrades - to meet evolving regulatory requirements.
  • AquaMaster flowmeter: Purpose-built for intelligent water management, the AquaMaster flowmeter provides real-time, highly accurate flow measurement even at velocities below 0.1 m/s. Its advanced leak detection capabilities and precision help water utilities reduce water losses and enhance network efficiency.
  • UviTec water quality monitoring platform: UviTec delivers rapid, on-site water quality analysis through optical sensors and sophisticated analytics. Capable of measuring biochemical and chemical oxygen demand (BOD/COD) in just five seconds, it offers a significant time advantage over traditional lab-based methods, enabling faster, data-driven decisions.
