Last month, two groups of ABB Installation Products employees recently demonstrated our values of Care and Collaboration through hands-on service at Room in the Inn (RITI), a Memphis-based organization supporting families experiencing homelessness.
In recognition of National Intern Day, a group of eight ELIP interns and employees volunteered their time to prepare and serve meals. Beyond providing nourishment, they offered fellowship and connection, bringing warmth and dignity to those they served. As part of their regional leadership meeting, ELIP US/Latin America leadership team also volunteered, rolling up their sleeves to support a variety of tasks. Their efforts included light cleaning, minor repairs, organizing meeting spaces and assisting kitchen staff with meal preparation and service. Together, they helped create a more welcoming and functional environment for RITI guests and staff.
Room in the Inn provides:
- Private, temporary housing that offers comfort and stability for families working towards permanent homes.
- Nutritious meals and compassionate support while guests focus on long-term goals for their family’s well-being.
- Educational and counseling programs for both adults and children to help build skills and confidence for a brighter future.
These service events gave participants the opportunity to make a tangible impact in the local community while living out ABB’s purpose and values in action.
