At ABB, embracing the spirit of giving and fostering social progress is at the heart of who we are. This festive season, employees of ABB in Malaysia came together yet again to make Christmas just a little brighter for children in need.
Through ABB’s Giving Tree project, children from SHELTER Home 1, 2, and 3 wrote down their Christmas wishes which were hung on a tree at ABB Malaysia’s reception. From jeans, t-shirts, and skincare products to playdough, their wishes were modest.
Thanks to the generosity of ABB colleagues, all 34 children from the home had their wishes fulfilled. Beautifully wrapped gifts were placed beneath the Christmas tree, each labeled with the recipient’s name. The gifts were handed over to the home on Tuesday, December 16, bringing joy and smiles to the children.
In addition to the heartfelt contribution from employees, ABB Malaysia donated dry rations and essential items to support the home’s daily needs. “Acts of kindness like these reflect ABB’s core value and our commitment to making a positive impact in the communities where we operate,” said Joyce Yu, who led the initiative.
A heartfelt thank you to all employees who participated and helped share the joy of Christmas. Together, we have shown that the spirit of giving is alive and well at ABB!
