As Central Europe accelerates toward electric mobility, automakers face a shared challenge: delivering charging that is fast, reliable and effortless from day one. ABB is helping Suzuki stay ahead of this challenge. Through durable charging hardware, advanced digital capabilities and hands-on dealer training, ABB is enabling Suzuki to operate more efficiently, reduce downtime, and prepare its network for the arrival of new electric models.
By strengthening the performance and readiness of Suzuki dealerships across the region, ABB is providing the foundation for a consistent and dependable charging experience – ensuring that Suzuki can scale its electrification plans with confidence.
A major milestone in Suzuki’s electrification journey
Suzuki is entering a new era in its electrification strategy with the debut of the E-Vitara, the company’s first fully electric model. The launch signals a decisive step toward Suzuki’s global ambition for at least 80 percent of its vehicles to be partially or fully electric by 2030. Achieving this shift requires dependable, scalable charging infrastructure across every dealership.
This is where ABB plays a critical role. By delivering charging solutions that are proven, reliable and easy for dealers to operate, ABB helps derisk Suzuki’s transition and ensures the network is ready to support both the E-Vitara and future electric vehicles (EV). The collaboration gives Suzuki confidence as it accelerates its electrification plans, backed by infrastructure engineered to perform consistently as demand grows.
Building a reliable charging ecosystem for dealers
Dealerships sit at the heart of the customer journey, and the transition to electric mobility brings new expectations around service, uptime and technical knowledge. ABB’s charging technology helps Suzuki dealers run more productively by giving them chargers that are simple to operate, digitally connected, and engineered for long-term reliability.
Remote diagnostics and software updates help reduce service interruptions, while dynamic power management supports smooth operations during busy periods. With ABB chargers already installed at 78 Suzuki sites in Hungary – and expanding across the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia and Slovakia – dealerships can deliver a consistent charging experience wherever customers are served.
Fast charging technology built for today and tomorrow
Suzuki dealerships also rely on ABB’s Terra AC chargers – part of the ABB Smart Buildings portfolio – providing dependable, everyday charging service centers, test drives, and customer handovers. The combination of Terra AC for daily use and high-performance DC fast chargers creates a complete, future-ready charging ecosystem for the network.
The E-Vitara uses lithium iron phosphate batteries of 49 and 61 kWh, supporting DC charging up to 90 kW. ABB’s portfolio is engineered to not only meet these requirements but exceed them. Chargers such as the T124 (120 kW) and T184 (180 kW) already deliver rapid charging for today’s models, while the A-series – A200, A300 and A400 – provide 200 to 400 kW for the next generation of electric vehicles.
This ensures Suzuki dealerships are ready for the E-Vitara today and prepared for higher-capacity models tomorrow. The infrastructure being installed now gives Suzuki a scalable, future-proof charging foundation aligned with its long-term strategy.
Smart charging designed for efficiency and battery health
Charging is more than delivering power. Suzuki’s electric models include intelligent control systems that optimize each session to maintain battery durability and safety. ABB chargers support this by adapting automatically to the battery’s condition and environmental factors, ensuring each charging session delivers reliable and efficient performance.
Lithium iron phosphate battery technology offers outstanding cycle life along with enhanced thermal and chemical stability, and when combined with ABB’s intelligent charging solution, it guarantees customers a safe and reliable charging experience every time.
Building confidence through knowledge transfer
While technology is a big part of driving the EV transition, so are people. ABB is actively supporting Suzuki’s dealer network through technical training that strengthens day-to-day capability. These sessions help technicians and sales teams understand charging behavior, safety features, and common customer questions, ensuring they can guide first-time EV drivers with confidence.
As electric mobility grows, this shared knowledge becomes a key differentiator. Suzuki’s commitment to ongoing education, supported by ABB’s deep experience in charging technology, helps ensure that every dealership is prepared to install chargers, while also integrating them into service workflows.
A partnership built for long-term progress
Suzuki’s first fully electric model marks the beginning of a broader transition. As the company moves toward a more electrified lineup, having a reliable, scalable charging ecosystem will be essential. ABB’s technologies, training programs and regional footprint position Suzuki to grow its EV offerings smoothly and sustainably.
Together, ABB and Suzuki are building the infrastructure, expertise and confidence needed to accelerate the shift toward cleaner mobility across Hungary and Central Europe. By helping dealerships run more productively, supporting technicians through knowledge transfer and enabling a reliable charging experience for customers, ABB is strengthening the entire ecosystem Suzuki needs to outrun the challenges of the electric transition.
