TANAP signs five-year ABB Care service agreement for pipeline control systems

TANAP Natural Gas Transmission Co. (TANAP) has signed a five-year ABB Care service agreement for the maintenance of the Trans Anatolian Pipeline natural gas pipeline – part of a major energy infrastructure system connecting the Caspian region to Europe via Türkiye. Under the agreement, ABB will continue to ensure the safe and uninterrupted operation of critical control systems along the 1,811.7 kilometer pipeline in Türkiye.

“ABB had already been providing maintenance services for TANAP under consecutive three-year ABB Care contracts. The new Care agreement establishes a strong and long-term partnership,” said Barış Ünver, Local Division Manager at ABB’s Energy Industries Division in Türkiye.

With deep expertise in automation, electrification and digitalization solutions, ABB’s service engineers will work on-site 24/7, delivering proactive maintenance applications, advanced cyber security solutions, and life cycle upgrades to support the pipeline’s operational excellence.

As safety and continuity are the highest priorities in natural gas pipelines, ABB, with its field engineers and technical expertise, has long contributed to ensuring that the TANAP natural gas pipeline operates at peak performance.

The long-standing cooperation between the parties goes beyond the scope of services, representing a strategic partnership built on mutual trust. With this approach, ABB continues to support Türkiye’s and the region’s energy security.

The new ABB Care service agreement, which started in September 2025, is planned to continue until September 2030.
