ABB Jonesboro team puts heart into helping Make‑A‑Wish

The ABB Installation Products Jonesboro team once again demonstrated their commitment to community service by supporting the 28th Annual Have-A-Heart Wish-A-Thon benefiting the Make‑A‑Wish Mid‑South chapter. Held on February 13, the one‑day fundraising event brought together volunteers, schools, businesses and media partners across northeast Arkansas. Thanks to the collective effort of the region, including our own ABB Jonesboro colleagues, the event raised more than $544,000, enough to fund roughly 54 wishes for local children facing critical illnesses.

Wish-A-Thon volunteers staffed 18 roadblocks across 17 communities, helping to collect donations throughout the day. Funds came from a combination of school fundraising through the Kids for Wish Kids program, business contributions and individual donations made via text, phone and at roadblock sites.

Jonesboro highlights:

  • 29 ABB Jonesboro employees volunteered their time at Wish-A-Thon roadblocks.
  • 97 hours of volunteer time were logged, with a $970 ABB Foundation match helping extend the impact even further.
  • ABB Jonesboro has proudly served as an event sponsor since 2021, and this year marked the team’s fourth year volunteering.
“The Jonesboro team truly cares about giving back to the community where we live and work,” shared Misty Carr, Sr. HR Business Partner for Jonesboro. “Being active in our community and supporting Make-A-Wish through this event reflects who we are. These experiences show how we come together to make a difference and how we live our core value of Care in a meaningful way.”

Thank you to the Jonesboro team for bringing ABB’s core values to life and helping make a lasting difference in our community.
