The update builds on proven adoption while addressing technician feedback. It consolidates configuration, real-time monitoring when connected to the device, test report downloads, and digital hardware upgrades into a single smartphone application. The improved interface unlocks hidden features in ABB's low voltage products. The smartphone app works offline and connects via Bluetooth, NFC, and USB-C. The result is faster commissioning, fewer errors, and less downtime on site.
"EPiC Mobile puts ABB's device expertise directly into the hands of the technician carrying out the work on site," said Roberto Conca, Product Owner, ABB Electrification. "They no longer need to carry additional equipment or work around connectivity limitations. They get the job done with the phone already in their pocket."
EPiC Mobile is compatible with a wide range of ABB low voltage products including:
- SACE Emax 3 and Emax 2 Air circuit breakers
- SACE Tmax XT Molded case circuit breakers
- SACE Infinitus Semi-Solid Circuit Breaker (SSCB)
- ABB Ekip UP+ digital unit
- CM-TCN and CM-TCS smart monitoring relays
Test report downloads are also supported for Softstarters and TruONE ATS devices. Future updates will extend support to Lite Panel Pro and other devices.
The Marketplace feature within the app allows technicians to unlock additional hardware capabilities digitally, extending device performance without replacing equipment.
EPiC Mobile 4.0 is available now on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
