The Controller is located outside of the European Union (EU), but we have appointed a representative for EU data privacy matters. The Controller representative in the EU is ABB B.V., George Hintzenweg 81 street, Rotterdam 3068 NX, Netherlands.
What we need
We are collecting and using personal data about you, including:
First Name; Last Name; Business Email; Business Address; Business Mobile Number; Job/Position/Title; Posts by Individuals in Discussions/Social Media like Yammer, etc.; Preferences; Photos / Images / Videos; Health Data (information about you allergies and dietary requirements, if any).
Why we need it
We use the personal data that we collect for the following purposes:
- administrate and perform the ABB Technology Summit 2019 event (the “Event”);
- manage ABB assets including pictures and videos depicting attendees of the Event.
We use your personal data for the purposes described in this notice based on your consent (Article 6 point 1 letter a) and Article 9 point 2 letter a) of the GDPR).
We only collect the personal data from you that we need for these purposes.
We may also anonymise your personal data so it no longer identifies you and use it for various purposes, including data analysis, improving our services and testing certain of our IT systems.
How we share your personal data
We only share your personal data as described in this notice.
We share your personal data with the following types of third parties outside the EU for reasons described below as part of the processing activities. We always put safeguards in place to protect your personal data where we share it with a party outside the EU. The safeguard is described below.

How long we keep it
We will keep your personal data as long as necessary for the Event purposes – for the time needed to organize the Event in which you participate and 3 consecutive months after the Event. After this time, we will securely delete your personal data. If necessary to meet legal or regulatory requirements and/or resolve disputes, we may keep some of your personal data after this time.
What are your rights?
You have the right to correct any error in your personal data or update it.
Depending on the jurisdiction in which you are located and in which your personal data is processed, you may also have the right to:
- access or receive a copy of your personal data that we hold,
- delete your personal data that we no longer have a lawful ground to use,
- port your personal data to a new supplier,
- restrict how we use your personal data whilst a complaint is being investigated,

Consent and image rights
ABB Limited, 83 Grafton Road, Auckland (1010), New Zealand will be using photographs and/or video footage (including sound tracks of the video footage or separate sound recording) of you which are taken at ABB Technology Summit, 6th June 2019 to document the Event.
The images and/or video will be published on the following channels: ABB intranet, ABB website, ABB customer magazine, LinkedIn and Facebook
