ABB Turbocharging signs landmark agreement with Oman Drydock Company to open a new dedicated Service Point in Duqm

ABB Turbocharging, a pioneering technology leader in design, manufacture and maintenance of turbochargers will now have a dedicated Service Point in the Oman Drydock Company (ODC) in Duqm, Oman

“The addition of this new service point at ODC will offer customers in the region access to ABB’s ever-growing service network, which comprises more than a hundred Service Stations in over fifty countries. Given the importance of Oman Drydock Company to our mutual customers, this initiative provides onsite accessibility to key equipment required for the overhaul of turbochargers, allowing for quick turnaround times and onsite technical support around the clock,” said Edi Fior, ABB Turbocharging Business Unit Manager for the HUB in Middle East and North East Africa.

ABB Turbocharging in Dubai will provide international factory warranties to all ABB turbocharger service jobs carried out at the ODC Service Point, including dedicated machines at a workstation within the shipyard facility.

ODC Chief Executive Officer, Said Hamood Said Al Maawali described the deal as a “Landmark agreement by which ODC can expand its provision of quality services to its wide range of global customers. The agreement will promote sharing of mutual benefits to enhance business of both companies, ensure quick turbocharger service to customers in the yard, and offer one-stop ABB turbocharger solutions at ODC. Partnering with global technology leaders is key to the vision of ODC, and together we aim to serve our customers better.”
