The award recognized ABB as a long-term supporter with a proven commitment to serving the electrical distribution channel -- including training distributors and supporting NAED broadly. ABB understands the significance of its bond with distributors and with the electrical channel to our U.S. business.
"The U.S. market and the partnership we have with the distribution channel is the strategic focus for ABB," said Greg Scheu, President, Americas Region. "These are business partners who play a critical role in serving the local market and the end customers' needs."
What the award means for ABB
"The distributor channel is our main access to the United States/North American market," Scheu continued. "It’s a partnership we’ve increased eightfold in the past few years and is critical to how we serve both distributors and the end customers.
"We’re very honored to receive this award and the recognition placed on what ABB has done with the distributor community," he said. "We will tout this as an example of what we are doing to drive our commitment to the channel. I'd like to thank the many dedicated employees of ABB in the U.S. that make this happen every day in serving the channel partners and our end markets."
"What ABB did with the T&B and GE acquisitions shows their significant investment in the North American electrical markets," said Walt Reynolds, CEO and President of The Reynolds Co., Fort Worth, Texas. "They want to be a player there, and they recognize it’s still a great, growing market with an upside. It was very eye opening to me and probably their competitors too. ABB is a force to be reckoned with."
