ABB Connect: 5 'must-know' features to try out today

Short disclaimer – I’m Andrew Wheeler, digital marketing lead for the Electrification business at ABB, and part of the team shaping the future direction of ABB Connect. Views are my own. You can learn more about ABB Connect at ABB.com.

After first being introduced in 2015, ABB Connect has continued to evolve and improve based on your feedback. As a result, ABB Connect has become the flagship mobile application for the Electrification business, and with all enhancements it can be difficult to keep track on what’s been happening.

This article will take you through 5 of my top ‘don’t miss’ functionalities within ABB Connect.

We’ve talked before about the top 3 reasons why you should download and try the app today – from ease of use and speed to getting the information you need, if you haven’t already I urge you to download it and give it a go.

1. Configure products directly within the app

This year saw the new integration of ABB Connect with e-Configure come to life.

E-Configure is a configuration tool which enables customers to select and configure the correctly matched components for low-voltage protection and motor starting solutions, faster and more accurately.

e-Configure can easily be accessed from the product view within ABB Connect, just tap ‘Configure the product’ to begin.

2. Access a wealth of training and educational programs

ABB Connect is now seamlessly integrated with the educational learning portal, ABB myLearning. With this integration we can serve all the latest training material, product webinars and online courses. What’s more you can register and sign up for any course directly within ABB Connect.

Like many of our integration updates, there will be plenty more enhancements to come here – from filtering by product/course type to improved search and UI updates.

3. Learn about our Electrification business

While this information has been public in PDF format for some time, we are pleased to share it's now integrated within ABB Connect for global users. The updated ‘Our Business’ sections within ABB Connect better showcase our full end to end offering, with key stats, customer references and details about active solutions in the real world.
