In late September, ABB in Vietnam signed the first contract to supply high voltage circuit breakers for Song May 500kV substation that includes 13 sets of 500kV circuit breakers from ABB in Sweden, 7 sets of 220 kV circuit breakers and 3 sets of 110kV circuit breakers from ABB in India for 500kV. Song May Substation is owned by the Southern Power Project Management Board (SPPMB) and executed by Comin Asia as the contractor with the total value of approximately USD 2.2 million. The signing of this contract will enable ABB in Vietnam to move forward to a level of competency in order to participate in direct offering and bidding for 220kV, 500kV substation projects that will come in Vietnam market in the future.
