As part of HR objectives to develop and maintain periodical manpower support to all departments as well as to open up opportunity for newly graduated students in the real working environment, during Quarter 1 2015, HR Department initiates and implements the first ABB Internship program 2015. The program attracts high attention and interest from both departments and final year students/new graduates from various universities in both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh.
Officially started since January 2015, the internship program involved great support from many departments of all 3 regions (Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and BacNinh). After communicating by HRBPs, the total demand for internship increases up to 45 open positions of diverse functions, varying from Logistics, Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Project Management, Coms and Marketing, HR, Engineering as well as Technical students from Vocational Training Schools.
It is officially promoted in February 2015, after a month of proactive communication, the program has drawn a high attention of students and achieved strong media effects. Generally, each post about ABB internship program on ABB Careers Facebook averagely attracted around 2500-2700 view per post with different positive comments and interaction from the viewers. Most of the time, students all express strong interest in internship vacancies and enthusiasm to apply for ABB.
More than 550 applications from over 90 universities were sent to ABB in the end of the program. Through a very tough selection process of HR and functional Departments, nearly 40 students were chosen and began an internship at ABB since beginning of April 2015.
