In the morning, a fire evacuation drill was conducted for PPTR factory under the observation of Mr. Staffan Jansson, Group Crisis and Security Coordinator and with the participation of the Bac Ninh Branch crisis team. After the exercise, Mr. Staffan summed up and gave valuable advises to the local fire brigade and first aid teams on areas of improvement to help them respond more quickly and effectively when a fire occurs.
The crisis training with real case study in the afternoon for Local Task Force team received positive reactions from all participants. After an initial introduction of the crisis manual and the crisis communication process, participants were taken through the SOS Emergency Web tool which enables on-line logging and review of actions taken on-site in a crisis situation. The group was later divided into three teams to practice response in broken fire situation in main factory.
Crisis management team members commented that this workshop provided them with better awareness of the crises and threats around us and the importance of preparedness, clarity of roles and communications during a crisis.
