Set foot in Vietnam in 1993, today ABB in Vietnam has established itself as a trusted provider of energy and automation technology, exporting its products and solutions to countries all over the world. During the 20-year journey in Vietnam, human is always at the core of our business, being the groundwork for the future. More than 70% of our engineers have academic background at HUST - one of the most renowned universities in Vietnam, with long history of training and providing first-class resources of engineering talents. By now, our Company and the University have established partnership through cooperating in various occasions and events, such as Factory tours, Careers Day, JDF Scholarship, Graduate Engineer Program (GEP), Summer Internship Program, etc.
To be one of the Company's annual programs, ABB Careers Day is set out to provide students from engineering universities in Vietnam with knowledge about ABB's brand image as one of the world leaders in power and automation technologies, and also as one of the most prestigious employers in its industry, in Vietnam and in the world. Moreover, the event also brings up exciting opportunities of scholarships, employment & internship at ABB in Vietnam.
During this year event, the audience was introduced about ABB Group, ABB in Vietnam, and two strategic factories in Vietnam (PPTR and PPHV factories) by our Management Team. The transformer plant PPTR in Hanoi produces distribution and power transformers, using "state of the art" production techniques, exporting to many parts of the Asia Pacific region and to the African countries. The high voltage factory PPHV in Bac Ninh provides core components for high voltage products which are delivered to ABB factories worldwide.
In addition, information about programs such as JDF Scholarship, Graduate Engineer Program (GEP) & Internship Program were also announced, which gained great interests among the participants. Mr. Axel Kalt, Country Manager of ABB in Vietnam shared his personal career story, and gave advices on how to achieve a great engineering profession. His friendly and casual manner certainly earned affection from the young fellows.
