The cooperation between ABB and its business partners - suppliers is of top priority for us. The business success arise from mutual understanding, common goals and continuing communication. With this objectives, the PPTR management decided to organize the first ABB Suppliers' Day to invite the suppliers to a discussion on ABB's vision and mission and ABB sustainability expectations for present and future.
About 70 representatives from 40 supply companies in Vietnam participated in the event. Within a day, PPTR senior managers & supply managers have presented ABB company capacity, vision, development expectation in Vietnam of the ABB Vietnam in general and PPTR factory in particular. The BU PPTR SCM strategy, the VNABB sourcing strategy, Supplier quality management, Supplier risk management were the main topics of the day. Business ethnic and Suppliers' Code of conduct for sustainability development are the key messages that ABB delivered to the partners in the Suppliers' Day.
In addition, the organizer has made a review and selection to recognize the good support and cooperation, services of the suppliers - who have walked along with ABB' successes over the past years.
The "Best on-time-delivery Supplier 2010-2012" was awarded to Tan Co company. The AIB Co. Ltd was recognized as "The best quality improvement Supplier 2010-2012"among the 4 tank suppliers. The awards of "The best improvement Supplier 2010-2012" and 'The best forwarder 2010-2012" were awarded to CIE1 & NMQ Jsc. respectively.
On the receiving the award, the representatives from the 4 winners share the honor and happiness upon the recognition of ABB. The support and cooperation of ABB on work process and quality & services improvement are one of the factors that contribute to the successes of the supply companies. The companies also presented wishes to become a long term and sustainable suppliers of ABB Vietnam. In addition, some of the suppliers also expressed the ambition for working with ABB in others countries.
